Connectors
The SMS Server supports open standards enabling it to be easily connected to disparate information systems.
- The SMS Server integrates with any electronic messaging system allowing users to send and receive SMS text messages from their favourite e-mail program.
- E-mail messages are sent by to mobile telephone recipients using a simple addressing syntax (e.g. John_Smith.07875555555@smsdomain .com).
- A single e-mail message may be broadcast to hundreds of mobile telephone recipients.
- A user can choose SMS recipients from their e-mail address books or distribution lists.
- A report is e-mailed back to the sender with itemised transmission results for each recipient.
- Incoming text messages are automatically routed to one or more e-mail recipients or shared folders.
- Replies to outbound e-mail to SMS Messages may be routed to the sender of the original message.
Web Publishing
- Information received in a text message can be automatically published to the web.
- The message content may be merged with a template to generate a static HTML file. Alternatively, text may be inserted into a Content Management System or web log to create dynamic pages.
CRM
- Add an SMS button to your Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to allow you to quickly and easily send a text message to a contact.
- Link inbound SMS messages to a customer file.
Web Services
- All the functionality of the SMS Server may be accessed via web services allowing software developers to leverage the power of the SMS Server in their applications.
Web Client
- A fully-featured and intuitive web client for sending and receiving text messages is available.
- Message boxes may be set up per user or may be shared between groups of users.
- The Web client may be used to manage text broadcasts, polls and surveys as part of a wider marketing campaign.
File
- Outbound SMS Messages may be generated by dropping a plain or structured text file into a folder. Recipient information may be defined within the file.
- Inbound SMS Messages may be written to a text file and copied to a File Server.
Fax
- Received Fax messages can be summarised, converted into an SMS message and sent to a mobile telephone.
- Inbound SMS messages can be automatically forwarded as a Fax message. The recipients fax number may be contained within the text message content or may be retrieved from a database or directory using a keyword contained within the message.
SMPP
- The SMS Server supports the SMPP (Short message peer-to-peer) protocol allowing it to be easily connected to SMS Service providers for sending and receiving messages.
GSM Modems
- SMS Messages may be sent and received via a GSM modem. A SIM card within the modem has an individual subscription to a mobile network.
